Bernstein Allergy Group, Inc. Introduces: Andrew M. Smith, MD, MS
Dr. Smith is the Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at the University of Cincinnati. He is also Chief of Allergy/Immunology at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center. He completed his fellowship in Allergy/Immunology at University of Cincinnati in June 2007.
He attended medical school at Northwestern University Medical School. Dr. Smith has a Master's degree in Molecular Epidemiology from the University of Cincinnati.
Dr. Smith joined the Bernstein Allergy Group, Inc. in September of 2009.
Bernstein Allergy Group, Inc. Introduces: Kelly Allred Metz, MD
Dr. Metz is a Cincinnati native. She graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 2004 and completed her residency in General Pediatrics at Cincinnati Children's and the University of Cincinnati. She received two grants from the University of Cincinnati Department of Environmental Health to fund her research examining the gene expression profiles of children hospitalized for acute asthma. Dr. Metz graduated from the Allergy & Immunology fellowship program in 2010.
Dr. Metz joined the Bernstein Allergy Group, Inc. in August of 2010. She is board certified in both General Pediatrics and Adult and Pediatric Allergy & Immunology. Her interests include asthma, food allergy, eczema, allergic rhinitis, contact metal allergy and drug allergy.
Who is a board certified Allergist/ Immunologist?
An Allergist/Immunologist is a physician specially trained to diagnose, treat, and manage patients with allergies and asthma. The board certified Allergist/Immunologist takes a certification exam in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of immune system problems such as allergies, asthma, inherited immunodeficiency diseases, and autoimmune diseases.
